Deine Mission

Als Subscription Management & Billing - Accounting Specialist bist Du unser Experte für Rechnungslegung und komplexe Abrechnungsprozesse – sowohl national als auch international. Du bringst Deine Expertise ein, um unser Finance-Team auf das nächste Level zu heben und eine skalierbare Finanzfunktion aufzubauen.

Du übernimmst Verantwortung für den gesamten Order-to-Cash (O2C)-Prozess, mit besonderem Fokus auf Subscription Management, das als Herzstück unseres SaaS-Geschäftsmodells dient. Dabei stellst Du eine reibungslose und effiziente Verzahnung zwischen unseren Sales- und CRM-Prozessen sowie Finance- und ERP-Systemen sicher. Dein operatives und strategisches Know-how macht Dich zum zentralen Ansprechpartner für Sales und die Finanzbuchhaltung, insbesondere bei Fragen zur Umsatzlegung und der korrekten buchhalterischen Abbildung unserer Prozesse.

Subscription Management: Verwaltung und Pflege von Vertragsdaten im SaaS-Umfeld, einschließlich der korrekten Abbildung von Subskriptionsverträgen und wiederkehrenden Zahlungen.
CRM- und ERP-Integration: Sicherstellung einer reibungslosen und effizienten Verzahnung zwischen unseren Sales- und CRM-Prozessen sowie Finance- und ERP-Systemen.
Billing: Sicherstellung einer fehlerfreien und termingerechten Fakturierung, insbesondere bei komplexen Abrechnungsmodellen.
Umsatzlegung: Bilanzierung von Umsatzerlösen gemäß HGB sowie optional IFRS/US-GAAP (inkl. SOX), speziell im Bereich Subskriptionsverträge.
Mahnwesen (Dunning): Eigenverantwortliche Durchführung von Mahnprozessen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Sales und anderen Teams.
Business Partnering: Agiere als strategischer und operativer Business Partner für Sales und Sales Operations, um effiziente und transparente Abrechnungsprozesse, Umsatzlegung und Finanzanalysen sicherzustellen.
Sales Support: Unterstützung des Sales-Teams bei Supplier- und KYC-Registrierungsprozessen sowie bei Angebots- und RFP-Prozessen.
Master Data Management: Pflege und Sicherstellung der Genauigkeit von Stammdaten in den CRM- und ERP-Systemen, um saubere und effiziente Datenflüsse zu gewährleisten.
Prozessoptimierung: Entwicklung und Einführung skalierbarer Prozesse und Systeme, insbesondere im Bereich Billing, O2C und Subscription Management.
ERP-Implementierung: Mitarbeit bei der Implementierung eines neuen ERP-Systems und der Optimierung bestehender Abrechnungs- und Buchhaltungsprozesse.
Reporting: Erstellung von Berichten und Analysen zu Debitoren- und Abrechnungsthemen für interne und externe Stakeholder.

Deine Erfahrung

Qualifikation: Abgeschlossenes Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre (BWL) mit Schwerpunkt Rechnungswesen oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation, z. B. eine kaufmännische Ausbildung mit Weiterbildung zum/zur Bilanzbuchhalter/in oder Steuerfachwirt/in.
Erfahrung: Mindestens 3-5 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Finanzbuchhaltung oder Debitorenbuchhaltung, idealerweise im SaaS-Umfeld.
Subscription Management & Billing: Nachweisliche Erfahrung in der Implementierung und Optimierung von Subscription-Management- und Billing-Lösungen sowie deren Integration in bestehende Finanzprozesse.
Business Partner: Erfahrung als Business Partner, insbesondere in der Zusammenarbeit mit Sales und Sales Operations, um Abrechnungsprozesse und Umsatzlegung effizient und transparent zu gestalten.
CRM- und ERP-Kenntnisse: Tiefgehendes Verständnis für die Integration und Optimierung von CRM-Systemen (z. B. Salesforce, HubSpot) und deren Verzahnung mit ERP-Systemen (z. B. SAP/Netsuite).
Prozesskenntnisse: Expertise in der Standardisierung, Digitalisierung und Skalierung von Accounting- und Abrechnungsprozessen.
IT-Know-how: Sicherer Umgang mit CRM-Systemen, Abrechnungssystemen und ERP-Systemen; Erfahrung mit SaaS-Subscription-Management-Lösungen ist von Vorteil.
Rechtskenntnisse: Fundierte Kenntnisse im HGB und Steuerrecht; zusätzliche Kenntnisse in US-GAAP (inkl. SOX) oder IFRS sind ein Plus.
Sprachen: Verhandlungssicher in Deutsch und Englisch, weitere Sprachkenntnisse von Vorteil.

Your Mission

As a Subscription Management & Billing - Accounting Specialist, you will be our expert in accounting and complex billing processes – both nationally and internationally. You will bring your expertise to elevate our finance team to the next level and build a scalable financial function.

You will take ownership of the entire Order-to-Cash (O2C) process, with a particular focus on subscription management, which serves as the core of our SaaS business model. In doing so, you will ensure seamless and efficient alignment between our sales and CRM processes and our finance and ERP systems. Your operational and strategic expertise will make you the central point of contact for Sales and Finance, especially regarding revenue recognition and the accurate accounting representation of our processes.

With your hands-on mentality and foresight, you will develop innovative solutions, optimize existing processes, and support the implementation of scalable systems that sustainably promote our global growth. As a pragmatic doer with strategic foresight and a hands-on mentality, you will play a key role in professionalizing our company and taking it to the next financial level. Your Responsibilities

Subscription Management: Manage and maintain contract data in a SaaS environment, including accurate representation of subscription agreements and recurring payments.
CRM and ERP Integration: Ensure seamless and efficient alignment between our sales and CRM processes and our finance and ERP systems.
Billing: Ensure error-free and timely invoicing, particularly for complex billing models.
Revenue Recognition: Recognize revenue in compliance with HGB and optionally IFRS/US-GAAP (including SOX), especially in the context of subscription agreements.
Dunning: Independently handle dunning processes in close collaboration with Sales and other teams.
Business Partnering: Act as a strategic and operational business partner for Sales and Sales Operations, ensuring efficient and transparent billing processes, revenue recognition, and financial analyses.
Sales Support: Support the sales team with supplier and KYC registration processes as well as proposals and RFP processes.
Master Data Management: Maintain and ensure the accuracy of master data in the CRM and ERP systems, supporting clean and efficient data flows.
Process Optimization: Develop and implement scalable processes and systems, particularly in billing, O2C, and subscription management.
ERP Implementation: Contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system and the optimization of existing billing and accounting processes.
Reporting: Prepare reports and analyses on accounts receivable and billing topics for internal and external stakeholders.

Your Experience

Qualifications: Degree in Business Administration with a focus on accounting or a comparable qualification, e.g., a commercial education with further training as a Certified Accountant or Tax Specialist.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of professional experience in finance or accounts receivable accounting, ideally in a SaaS environment.
Subscription Management & Billing: Proven experience in implementing and optimizing subscription management and billing solutions, as well as integrating them into existing financial processes.
Business Partner: Experience as a business partner, particularly in collaboration with Sales and Sales Operations, to design efficient and transparent billing processes and revenue recognition.
CRM and ERP Expertise: Deep understanding of the integration and optimization of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and their alignment with ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Netsuite).
Process Knowledge: Expertise in standardizing, digitizing, and scaling accounting and billing processes.
Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of CRM systems, billing platforms, and ERP systems; experience with SaaS subscription management solutions is an advantage.
Legal Knowledge: Solid knowledge of HGB and tax law; additional knowledge of US-GAAP (including SOX) or IFRS is a plus.
Languages: Fluent in German and English; additional language skills are advantageous.
